Your content gives credit where it’s due

It’s possible to rank number one for many keywords that have no real ROI. Instead, you should focus on metrics that bring conversions. In an SEO scenario, Google likes to trust sites that have links from high quality, relevant sources. For example, large news websites don’t generally link to an untrusted source, nor do top quality industry blogs or university or .edu websites. SEO offers incredible opportunity and access (it's an inherently free marketing channel) to inbound traffic, but it can be hard to know where to start and what advice to follow. In the past, commenting on blogs and forums solely for the sake of building links was the norm. The reality, however, is that many blogs and forums have little or no link value. Therefore, building links via this method will do nothing to boosting your website’s ranking.

Make mobile and computer navigation easy

The ability to measure the success of your SEO efforts is crucial. Tracking and managing your website’s data can be done through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Amazon search and YouTube & Video search need to be taken into account, as search share of voice is given more to platforms other than Google. One of the most common problems that I hear from people looking to learn more about SEO is that they don't know what information to trust. Today, the secret to SEO is no secret at all. It's common sense. Brands that rank high on search engines have great content, address their target audience's search intent, and take the time to optimize their sites from a technology standpoint.

Create great content people want to read

Whether you should go after long tail keywords, which are specific and consist of multiple words, or after head terms largely depends on your competition. Using heading in your page structure can have a big impact on searchability. Search engines use the headings to index the structure and content of your web pages. On page SEO refers to the optimization of a website’s on-page elements. This includes the way a website is structured and coded, as well as its content. As a webmaster, you have complete control over your on-page elements so putting the time into getting them right is important. Link building isn’t dead. Not by a long shot.

Use subheadings

It’s entirely possible that Google actually uses some sort of hidden sliding scale to determine its quality score. Links aren’t just for navigation; they are also a tool for guiding potential customers through the marketing funnel. One of the basic tools of the trade for an SEO practitioner is the search engines themselves. They provide a rich array of commands that can be used to perform advanced research, diagnosis, and competitive analysis. According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "Strive to incorporate a small handful of links to authoritative sources throughout your copy. This communicates to your readers (and to Google’s algorithms) that your content, while unique, gives credit where it’s due."

Think of ways to stand out from the crowd

Good SEO means forgetting SEO and concentrating on your user then. And it also means forgetting SEO in that you are going to be trying to merge your different marketing strategies in order to create one bigger approach. It means trying to write amazing posts and share them on SEO so that you get more links and it means writing great content that keeps people on your page longer. If you’re trying to build backlinks by pushing sponsored content, it has to explicitly say “Sponsored” on it. Community hijacking involves finding online communities that are made up of your target market, or people that can reach your target market so that you can build a relationship with them and get them to promote your content/brand/product(s). Auditing an existing site is one of the most important tasks that SEO professionals encounter. SEO is still a relatively new field, and many of the limitations of search engine crawlers are nonintuitive.
