Google is trying to better understand the semantic meanings of words by looking at how they appear in knowledge bases on the web

Once you create your blog, stick to the same domain for as long as you continue to publish. You could end up losing a lot of your organic traffic, your readers and all your search engine listings if you decide to move or change your domain and URLs. On page SEO of course refers to all the strategies that you can use within your pages to get Google interested in your site. This begins with content – and it begins with having a stronger understanding of the subtle changes Google has gone through in recent times. SEO has tremendously grown overthe past few years and search engines are getting smarter and smarter. Staying on top of the current updates and changes is thus crucial in deepening your knowledge of how to take advantage of it. Links don't matter that much for ranking in the Featured Snippet when you already rank on page one of Google. What SMEs haven’t realised yet, is the fact that users are changing their user search behaviour in search engines (when they perform a query) on their mobiles or tablets.

Create an Engaging Web Presence

Maybe the most fascinating thing about search is how quickly and regularly it changes. What we’ve covered here today may be replaced by something entirely different a few years or a few months from now as technology continues to evolve. Google is pretty good at understanding the general context of a site’s content. Well-written content is also far more likely to generate backlinks - links from other websites directing people to yours. This will boost your sites ranking in search engines, ensuring that the content people are being directed to is of a high standard. Getting your site to rank in Google can be a tough slog. It requires knowledge of current ranking factors, as well as the time and ability to optimize your content for those factors. When you use underscores to separate words in a URL name, Google will read it as one single word.

Make a prospects list yourself

Nowadays the way in which we structure URL addresses, write title tags and meta-descriptions, optimize website images and so on becomes less important as Google focuses on other SEO factors (mostly on content and link building techniques). Is your article hiding among millions of others, difficult to find and not being read as a result? If it is, you’re not alone; great research can go relatively unnoticed if it’s not highlighted and indexed in the right way. A number of challenges have to be successfully passed in order to create a successful multilingual site that ranks well with Google. Free, flexible and powerful, Google Analytics lets you track how many people are using your website, and what they do when they are there. Yes, contextual link building is important, because they boost results on search engines. But, the number of links on a particular content page also matters to Google. So what type of website would get the highest quality ranking? According to Google, the highest quality websites have a super high-demonstrated expertise, talent, authoritativeness, or trustworthiness on the topic. SEOs have a weird way to describe this voting process; they call it “link juice.” If an authoritative site, we’ll say Wikipedia for example, links to you, they’re passing you “link juice.”

Think less about optimizing for specific keywords

It’s also still worth pursing Wikipedia links when appropriate. Wikipedia is very picky about their references, so you’ll have to provide very niche, unique content, but if you can get a link it can bring about some pretty cool results – including other do follow links. Building link popularity of a website is far more crucial than any other factors for SEO and positioning for top search engine ranking. But pay attention to who your link partners are. Gut, brain, intuition, emotional intelligence, whatever you want to call it, humans can’t be beat for determining relevance. Backlinks can bring in highly targeted, valuable traffic from referring websites. The biggest factor in the SEO revolution is the rise of content. Instead of stung blog posts with the right formatting and wording to make it to the top of search results, users are looking for quality content (not basic or timely information) more than ever. So is Google.

There's nothing like marketing in the minute. Ensuring that your piece of content explores the topic fully across many relevant sub-topics, and doesn’t only provide a thin/generic answer, will help with discovery and perceived value. Although you may now have a fully optimized site, your domain authority is still more than likely not at the range you want it to be at. At a bare minimum, include social sharing buttons on your content. If possible, secure your site’s connections with HTTPS. Encrypting interactions between the user and your website is a good practice for communication on the web.
